Obituary

Francis E. Christie, 83, of Lynn, formerly of Chelsea, beloved husband of the late Helen F. (Baker) Christie and son of the late Edward and Euladie (Comeau) Christie, died June 23 at the Rosewood Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.
Born, raised and educated in Chelsea, a resident of Lynn for 52 years. Frank served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was employed as a welder with the Monroe Dry Docks. He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and then St. Mary’s Church. He was a member of the Cocktail League Association, and enjoyed his weekends fishing with his sons on Plum Island and Sunday morning breakfast with the family.
Francis is survived by his sons, Francis E. Christie Jr. and his wife Pamela, Mark T. Christie and his wife Cheryl and Glen P. Christie and former wife Pauline; his six grandchildren, Adam, Elaine, Jessica, Richard, Danielle, Samantha, and great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Elise, Abigail and Emily. Brother of the late George, Fred, Carl and Eleanor Christie and Margaret Thorner and Muriel Smith.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Friday from 3-7 p.m.
