Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 20, 2015 at age 90. Preceded in death by parents Louis & Mary; infant son John; siblings Eleanor, Florence, Louis, Clara, Leona, Pauline, Otto; former wife Jean; son-in-law Gerald Frederick. Survived by beloved daughters Susan (Richard) Gladish, Kristine (Steven) Meyer, Jayne (Jean) Vail, Moget Frederick; grandchildren Danielle, Sarah, Jeanna, Andrea, Haley; great grandchildren Kyle, Cole, Madison, Dylan, Avery, Courtney, Gabriella, Marissa, Breana, Sydney, Olivia; great great grandsons Romel & Elias; sisters-in-law Marianne Mayer & Elaine Hassing; partner Gloria Freyholtz; many nieces & nephews. Member of North St. Paul American Legion Post 39 and VFW Post 1350. Served in WWII as an aircraft mechanic for the Black Sheep Squadron and also in the Korean War. Loved to fly, hunt, fish & golf. President of Minnesota Bearing Company and volunteer sheriff for the Ramsey County Air Patrol. Memorial Service Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
