Laconia-----Armand A. Cote, 90 of Laconia, passed away on Father's Day, June 21, 2015 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
Armand was born in Laconia on August 10, 1924, one of two children of George and Antoinette Cote. He married his wife Evelyn Jacques of 69 years on October 12th, 1946.
Armand was inducted into the U.S. Army Air Corp in March of 1943 and served in the Pacific theatre as a aerial engineer gunner on a B24 Liberator and returned home December of 1945. He lived the remainder of his life in Laconia and worked as an auto mechanic and auto body repairman until his retirement in 1977. He was a private pilot and model airplane enthusiast and a lifetime member/founder of the Winnipesaukee Radio Controllers. Last Father's Day he participated in an Honor Flight to Washington DC, accompanied by his oldest daughter Helen.
He is survived by his sister Rita Breton of Gilford, his wife Evelyn Cote of Laconia, his children Helen Murphy and her husband Jerry of Gilford, Janet Hebert and her husband Denis of Laconia and Dennis Cote and his wife Kathie of Sugar Hill, grandchildren Sean Murphy, Michael Hebert, Megan Regan, Emily Cote, Christopher Cote and three great grand children Jeffrey and Benjamin Hebert and Fionn Regan as well as many nieces and nephew.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5:00pm-7:00pm using the Carriage House entrance at the Wilkinson-Beane- Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant street, Laconia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 9:30am at Andre Bessette Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Ave. Laconia NH.
Burial will immediately follow in the family lot at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Laconia.
