Mrs. Joyce Margaret (Kennedy) Dunne, a resident of Medford since 1972 and beloved wife of John B. Dunne, passed away at her home on Thursday afternoon, June 18, 2015. She was 74 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 28, 1941, she was the beloved daughter of the late George W. and Florence (White) Kennedy. Mrs. Dunne was a graduate of Emmanuel College class of 1962 and worked as a Clinical Administrator for Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening around her home and was an avid reader. She will be dearly missed.
Besides her beloved husband, John, she is survived by her loving children; Catherine M. and her husband Keith W. Himmel of Londonderry, New Hampshire, John B., Jr. and his wife Anne Marie Dunne of Newton and James M. Dunne of Arlington, Brother; Sonny Piciewicz of Hudson, grandchildren; Dawn Marie Gilbert and Amanda, James Jr. and Evelyn Dunne and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Helen Hatch and grandmother of the late Samantha Dunne.
Her funeral will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway, Medford on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at 10AM. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, on Monday, June 22, 2015, from 6 to 8 PM.
