Mary L. (Galvin) McMillan 90, beloved wife of the late Arthur R. McMillan, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2015. She was the devoted mother of Judith A. Steele and her husband George of Milton, Anne L. Kanies and her husband Tom of Rockland, and Barbara M. Burgess and her husband Ken of Hanover. She was the cherished grandmother of Amy L. Smith, Thomas Kanies, Joshua (Shana), Erik and Kara Burgess and loving great-grandmother of Dakota, Isabel, and Madelyn. An accomplished needlewoman, Mary was a member of the Embroiderers Guild of America and participated in many activities and events both locally and nationally. She was a member of the Abigail Adams Historical Society, AUSA, and was active in Girl Scouting. Mary was employed and retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mary’s investment of her time, energy, and expertise enriched the lives of her family and of countless individuals in her community. Visiting hours are omitted. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church in East Weymouth on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00AM.
