Miguel Pina Cardoso (96) of Brockton died June 16th in the Guardian Center after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Doroteia (Pina) Cardoso.
He was born in Penteada, Fogo, Cape Verde son of the late Miguel and Benvinda (Dias) Cardoso and has been a Brockton resident since 1996. In Cape Verde he worked for the Government in various office positions. Miguel enjoyed reading, writing and he loved to walk.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 5 sons Miguel Angelo Cardoso, Alvardo Cardoso and Miguel Augusto Cardoso all of Fogo, Jose Barros of Angola and Jose Cardoso of Brockton, 4 daughters Viginia, Leonor, Amelea and Maria Antonia Cardoso all of Fogo, many grand and great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday June 20th at 9:30 am Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery Brockton. Visitation Friday June 19th from 5-9 pm.
