Rosaria “Susie” Vultaggio passed away peacefully on Thursday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 99. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Vita (Patti) Asta. Once married she and her husband settled in Somerville where they raised their family. Before her retirement she worked for many years as a seamstress. A loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and lived on her own until recently.


The beloved wife of the late Nicholas Vultaggio, she was a devoted mother to Nora Rigione of Reading and her late husband John, Vita Cucinotta and her husband Dominic of Medford, Nicholas Vultaggio and his wife Irene of Temecula, CA. She was a loving grandmother to Susan, Anthony, Karen, Christopher, Joseph, Nicholas V. and Nicholas C. and well as a loving great-grandmother to Charlie, Marissa, Leeanne, Sapphire, Ava, Johnny and great-great-grandmother to Liam.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday June 17th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday 4-8 PM.
