David C. MacDonald, age 85, passed away on June 9, 2015. He is survived by his sisters, Janet MacDonald Moffatt of Albuquerque, NM and Carol Emily Sheldon and her husband Leon H. Sheldon of Sharon, VT. He is also survived by 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Charles C. and Louise S. MacDonald and his sister Lois C. Fitts. David was a graduate of Weymouth High School; was a veteran of the US Navy serving aboard the USS Vulcan as HM3, and attended New England College of Pharmacy. He was a lifelong resident of Weymouth, was a painting contractor and also owned the South Shore Hobby Shop in E. Weymouth.
He was a member of the Weymouth Rotary Club, the Weymouth United Masonic Lodge, the Weymouth Lodge of Odd Fellows, the Wiscasset Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum and the First Church in Weymouth.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Church in Weymouth, 17 Church St. in N. Weymouth on Tuesday, June 23 at 10 AM. The burial will immediately follow at the Old North Cemetery in Weymouth.
