Daniel “Dan” Joaquin, 83 of Derry, NH and Madeira Beach, FL and formerly of Methuen passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2015 at his late residence. Dan was born on September 3, 1931 in Lawrence to the late Edward and Anna Joaquin. He was a graduate of Merrimack College and a member of the United States Naval Reserves for 13 years.
Mr. Joaquin worked at Raytheon for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. Following his retirement, Dan and his wife Jane moved permanently to their beloved camp on Big Island Pond in Derry. They would also spend 6 months of the year in Madeira Beach, FL. He enjoyed boating, being outdoors, golfing, tennis, fishing in Florida and woodworking.
Dan was the loving husband of Jane (Kosseske) Joaquin with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Steven Joaquin and his wife Linda of North Andover and Paul Joaquin and his wife Danyelle of Killington, VT. Dan was the dear brother of the late John Joaquin. He was the beloved grandfather of Jessica Joaquin, Jared Joaquin, Evan Joaquin and Alex Joaquin. Dan is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
