John F. Moran age 95 of Brighton passed away at the Epoch Senior Care in Sharon June 9th. Born in Brighton he was raised in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High Class of 1938. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and worked as a Machinist for General Electric for 45 years before retiring. He has lived in Brighton since 1964 and was a former member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club in Winthrop. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (O’Neill). Father of John Moran and his wife Janice of Sharon and James Moran of FL. Grandfather of Kaitlyn and Kristine Moran of Sharon. Brother of Al Moran of Dedham and the late Ruth and Ralph Moran and Louise Wood and her late husband Randall. Brother in law of Kathleen Keogh of W. Roxbury. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Friday morning at 10. A private burial will be held at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Epoch Senior Health Care 259 Norwood St. Sharon, MA 02067 or to the Joslin Diabetes Center 1 Joslin Place Boston, MA 02215. | |||||
