Obituary

Gregory A. Lovell, age 61, of Brockton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was the loving husband of Kathleen A. (McConarty) Lovell for 20 years. Greg was born in Miami, FL, son of the late Richard A. and Carol E. (Hatfield) Lovell.
Following his graduation from Hamburg High School in NY, he moved to Brockton. Greg was also a graduate of Rhema Bible Training School in Oklahoma. As an ordained minister, Greg was a longtime pastor of nursing home ministries and would play music, share encouraging words and bring cheer to the residents of the nursing homes and rehabilitation centers that he visited. Greg started “His love never fails ministries” and “Glad tidings ministries.” He was a member of the Abundant Faith Family Church in East Bridgewater and former member of the Living Word World Outreach Church in Brockton.
Aside from his work as a minister, Greg was also a custodial engineer for Walmart in Avon and for Lemack’s in Canton. Greg loved to watch all Boston sports, was an avid Patriots fan and loved animals. In his free time, he enjoyed writing poetry, vacationing in New Hampshire, and fishing. Greg will be remembered as fun loving and a kid at heart.
Greg is also survived by his brothers, Christopher L. Lovell and his wife Yvonne of Pembroke, NH and Stephen E. Lovell and his wife Kathleen of Bridgewater. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (rte.123) Brockton, Monday 5-8 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Tuesday at 9am for a Funeral Service in Abundant Faith Family Church, E. Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Central Cemetery, Halifax.
