Gilford-----Patricia Ellen Bishop Pegg, 83, of Robindale Circle, Gilford, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Pat was born the first of identical twins on November 11, 1931 in Meriden, CT but grew up in the town of Stratford. Pat was the daughter of George Burton and Ruby (Bishop) Bishop.
After high school, Pat graduated from Booth and Baylis Business School and started a career as a secretary at Manning, Maxwell, and Moore, where she met Robert Pegg. In 1953, Pat and Bob were married.
Pat and Bob lived in several places across New England and the Midwest, eventually settling in Gilford, NH. Pat was an avid tennis player at Gilford Hills. She also loved her gardening and flowers. She was an active member of the Opechee Garden Club, where she had many friends, and a flower volunteer at both the Lakes Region General Hospital and the Gilford Community Church, where she was a member. Pat also liked knitting, bridge and volunteering at the Gilford Library.
Her family and grandchildren were the center of her life. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Robert M. Pegg, of Gilford; a son, David Pegg and his wife Donna, of Wallingford, CT; a daughter, Cynthia Pegg and her husband James Brogan of West Hartford, CT; five grandchildren, Joshua Pegg, of Newington, CT, Marshall, Andrew, Alicia and Camdyn Pegg, all of Wallingford, Ct; a twin sister, Nancy, and her husband Elmer Benton, of Guilford, CT; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James Bishop.
There will be a memorial service held in the near future. Burial will be at the family’s convenience in Guilford, CT.
