John M. Hornyak, 75, of Clark Court, Woonsocket, died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of Florence A (Smith) Hornyak.
Born in Wildwood, Pennsylvania, he had lived in West Glocester before moving to Woonsocket. Before his retirement he was a self-employed Home Improvement Contractor. He had also served in the US Navy.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, John Hornyak, Jr. and his wife, Monique of Wildwood, California, Denise Grenga and her husband, James of Smithfield, Florence Stevens and her husband, Newton of Pascoag and Fran Esquite and her husband, Esdras of Woonsocket and his six beloved grandchildren: Andrea, Michael, and Jacqueline Grenga, Celeste Hornyak, Bradford Stevens and Joshua Esquite. He was the brother of the late Donna Brock.
His funeral will be held Monday at 11 am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A graveside service with Military Honors at Noon at Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Visitation Sunday 4-7.
