Obituary

Worcester – Marjorie M. (Marr) Berard, 87, of Worcester, died peacefully on Friday, May 22nd in her home with her family by her side.

Mrs. Berard was married to the late Hector R. Berard and is survived by a daughter, Nancy M. Berard and her husband, Steven Prasinos of Woodbury, CT; a son, Glenn W. Berard and his wife, Amy of Hyannis; a brother, William Marr of Ipswich; two grandchildren whom she adored, Sophia and Chloe Prasinos and many nephews and nieces.

Marjorie was born in North Adams, MA, daughter of the late, William J. and Dora E. (Rougeau) Marr and is also predeceased by a brother, John “Jackie” Marr and a sister, Shirley Mantha.

Mrs. Berard worked for 29 years as a school bus driver in Leicester and Worcester as well as Cape Cod. She enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime, however, some of her favorite things were sewing, knitting and traveling. Marjorie had a special affection for Cape Cod and loved spending time in both Dennisport and Sandwich.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 1st at 10AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Worcester. Burial will be held privately in the Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery, Bourne at a later date. Memorial Contributions in memory of Mrs. Berard may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church “Family Center Campaign” 1222 Main St. Worcester, MA 01603.
