Obituary

LACONIA – Patrecia Main Williams Morin, most recently a resident of Saint Francis Nursing Center in Laconia, NH, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph E. Morin, a dearly loved half-sister, Patrecia Mary Gray, her brother Charles H. Williams Jr. and sister-in-law, Mary A. Lewis Williams.

She was born Patrecia Main on March 17, 1927 in Troy, NY. Her mother, Loretta Main, married Charles H. Williams Sr. in Berlin, NY on December 24, 1927. Two and a half years later, Charles adopted her and she became Patrecia Main Williams.

Her family relocated to Laconia, NH in 1933 when Allen Rogers bought the car shop on Water Street. Patrecia was the last survivor of the family members that came with the factory.

She began work at 16 years of age at the JJ Newberry’s Five & Ten Cent Store and worked there for 13 years, in the meantime graduating from Laconia High School in 1946. She then worked 15 years for E.J. Cantin of Cantin Chevrolet Company Inc. and another 15 years for Eddie A. Cantin, eventually retiring on April 1, 1986.

On January 25, 1958, she married Joseph E. Adrien Morin. Together they lived for many years at 134 Winter Street, also in Laconia. He was her best friend all her married life. They adopted a daughter, Kathy, who had six children. Their granddaughter Patrecia and husband Steve Boutwell, of Greenfield and great grandchildren Ashley and Dylan were constant sources of light in their life. She is also survived by two nieces and their husbands Donna and husband George Davison, Jr., of Laconia and Brenda and Robert Morin of Effingham, N.H. along with one nephew Charles H. Williams III, of Laconia. She has five grand nieces, Melissa (Godchild) and her husband Matthew Gianino, Jessica and her husband Michael Shupe, Bethany and her husband Jeff Wieczorek, Jennifer and husband Josh Schwalb, and Ashley and husband Kalei Buchanan, along with one grandnephew, George (Jay) Davison III and wife Gloria. She was blessed with eleven great-grand nieces and nephews; Ella, Dominic, Ewen and Norah Gianino; Reuben, Thomas and Molly Shupe; Hannah and Amelia Wieczorek; Kaheana Buchanan and Lillie Davison. Patrecia also had a very dear friend, Arlene Harbour, who she had known for over sixty years.

God has been good to her, as in 1966 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, had a radical mastectomy enabling her to live a very long and fulfilling life. Her passions included travel, camping and corresponding with those she cared dearly about. Patrecia’s most treasured memories were of times her family was together. In keeping with this she would like the memory of her to be a happy one, of good times and laughter. She never meant to do harm to anyone and always tried to be helpful and understanding. She’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun comes up.
