Dorothy E. Mills, of Duxbury, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2015, at the Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Plymouth, at the age of 90. She was the loving wife of 72 years to Willard C. Mills.
Born in Duxbury on September 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Dorothy Eldrige of Duxbury. She graduated from Duxbury High School in 1942 and lived in Duxbury most of her life.
She was a former church secretary for Pilgrim Church in Duxbury for several years. She loved being with her family and she enjoyed gardening, doing arts & crafts and singing in the church choir.
She was the devoted mother of Kathleen (Mills) Wyatt and her late husband, Donald of Plymouth, David Mills and his wife, Denise of Brussels, Belgium, and Dorothy L. Mills of Duxbury. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Pratt, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A funeral service was held on June 1, 2015 at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston. Interment followed at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
