Maria B. DelGreco, 99, formerly of Everett, MA and Seabrook, NH, passed peacefully Monday May 25, 2015 at Colonial Heights Healthcare of Lawrence, MA. Maria was born November 5, 1915 in Boston, MA and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bonnano) Napoli. She was raised and educated in the Boston area. Maria resided most of life in Everett, MA prior to relocating to NH in 1987. She then shared time between Seabrook and Port Ritchie, FL.
Maria was a seamstress by trade and owned the Coral Shoppe in Malden and Wakefield for over 25 years. She was a longtime crafter and enjoyed playing Bingo. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Members of the family include two children and their spouses, Charles J., Jr and Nancy A. DelGreco, of Seabrook, NH and Sandra J. and Arthur Celata of Londonderry, NH, six grandchildren, Anthony, Chuck and John DelGreco, Christine Arsenault, Julie Celata and Michelle Green, as well as many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She has a sister, Angie Deluca and a brother, Joe Napoli and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Maria was predeceased by beloved husband of 68 years, Charles J. DelGreco, Sr. in 2007.
Calling hours were held Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 3 to 7 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A liturgy of the word was held on Friday the 29th, at 11 am in the funeral home. Private burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery of Malden, MA. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
