Puleio, Josephine A. (Arena), age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 24, 2015. Josephine was born, raised, and educated in Concord, MA and graduated from Concord High School in 1949. She settled in Dorchester with her husband John where they raised a family together. Josephine loved to travel with her husband and children. Her favorite trips were to Italy in order to visit family, Hawaii, and Australia. Josephine worked at Bradlees Fabric Store in Dorchester for many years and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and cooking in her spare time but most of all enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Josephine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years John Puleio. She is survived by her loving children Joseph N. Puleio and his wife Diane of Marshfield, Josephine N. Fraser and her husband Dan of Manchester NH, John F. Puleio and his wife Gina of Weymouth, and Natalie S. Whalen and her husband David of Weymouth. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Christopher, Serena, JoAnne, Danny, Angela, Jon-Jon, Chrissy, and Mandy of whom she was so proud.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Josephine at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq. S. Weymouth) MA 02190 from 4-8 PM on Wednesday May 27. Relatives and friends will gather in the Funeral Home at 8:30AM Thursday for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great Church located at 1130 Washington St., Weymouth at 9:30AM. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Scituate. Donations in memory of Josephine may be made to Alzheimer's Association at P.O.
