Linda Saifi Khoueiry

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Linda (Saifi) Khoueiry, 86, a longtime resident of Beirut, Lebanon, was Called Safely Home the Eve of Pentecost Sunday on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Beirut, Lebanon on January 21, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Melhem Saifi and Loulou (Wakim) Saifi. She was raised and schooled in Beirut and was a lifelong resident of the city. Active in her Catholic faith, she was a communicant of Saint John Catholic Church in Beirut. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ibrahim Khoueiry who was Called Home on July 5, 1982. She leaves her seven loving children, Nabil Khoueiry and his family, George Khoueiry and his family, Leila Khoueiry, Therese Khoueiry, Reverend Joseph Khoueiry, Pastor of Saint George Maronite Catholic Church in Dover, NH, Marie Khoueiry and Loulou Khoueiry Hannoush and her husband, Tony, of West Springfield; her six cherished grandchildren, Leina, Josiane, Wassim and Ibrahim Khoueiry and Ann Marie and Elie Hannoush; her dear sister, Maneh Abboud and her family; her dear brother, Elie Saifi and his family; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and extended members of the Khoueiry and Saifi families. Her funeral will be held on Thursday morning, May 28, 2015 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 375 Island Pond Road, Springfield, MA 01118. Her burial will follow the Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA 01129. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, 375 Island Pond Road, Springfield, MA 01118.
