Julia M. Neenan, 65, of Wareham, formerly of New Bedford, passed away Tuesday May 19, 2015 at Tremont Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John R. and Catherine (Hayes) Neenan, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Julia was formerly employed as a district manager for the Standard-Times for 21 years.
She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Anna Maria College.
She enjoyed running, bicycling, traveling, and animals. She also practiced meditation and yoga.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the current and past staff members at Tremont Rehabilitation, the staff of Hospice Services of Massachusetts, and Dr. John B. Howard for their devoted care to Julia over the years.
Survivors include her siblings, Margaret M. Steiblin and her husband Vincent of Rochester, Hugh J. Neenan and his wife Ann-Margaret of Dartmouth, and John R. Neenan and his wife Marguerite of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
