Sarah A. Pelkey, 94, of Gorham, NH, passed away on Sunday May 17, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Knutsford, PEI, Canada on January 1, 1921 the daughter of Truman and Jennie (Yeo) Harris and came to Berlin in 1937. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Family includes her children Linda Duchesne of Berlin, NH, Newton Pelkey of Hanover, MD, James Pelkey, Ralph Pelkey of Gorham, NH, Raymond Pelkey of Berlin, NH, Warren Pelkey of Framingham, MA and Stephen Pelkey of Marathon, FL; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Newton Harris of Howlan, PEI, Alton Harris of O’Leary PEI and Ralph Harris of Georgetown, PEI; sister Maude Smith of Souris, PEI and Naples, FL; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Pelkey in 1988, 3 sons, Richard Pelkey, Harold Pelkey and Lawrence Pelkey, grandson Roland Pelkey and sisters Jennie Betts and Amy.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in the New City Cemetery.
