Sebastiano V. Vasques of Medford died on Sunday, May 17, in Tufts Medical Center, Boston. Born and raised in Canicattini Bagni, Siracusa, Italy, he was the son of the late Lucia (Pantano) and Giuseppe Vasques. Sebastiano lived in Italy and Africa before moving to the U.S. in 1973 and settling in Medford.

He was the beloved husband of the late Antonia (Ciccio) Vasques, and the devoted father of Lucia Benincasa and her husband Giuseppe of Varese, Milan, Italy, Roberto Vasques and his wife Kathleen of Medford, Sergio Vasques and his wife Pamela of East Falmouth, and the late Giuseppe Santo Vasques. He is survived by 14 loving grandchildren and 9 loving great grandchildren. Sebastiano was the brother of Maria Vasques of Medford, the late Salvatore Vasques, and brother-in-law of Alfonsa Vasques of Varese, Milan, Italy. He is also survived by daughter-in-law Susan Vasques of Tewksbury, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, May 21 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 20, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
