METHUEN: Michael J. Dunn, age 68, of Methuen, a former longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at home, with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Linda M. (Berube) Dunn, with whom he would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on August 23, 2015.
Born in Cambridge on November 12, 1946, he was the son of the late Byron and Elizabeth (Powers) Dunn.
Mike was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Matignon High School in 1964.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Verizon Company for 37 years.
In addition to his wife Linda, Mike is survived by his children, Kimberly A. Westbrook and her husband Robert of Methuen and Amanda J. Royse of Billerica; four grandchildren, Katherine and Madelyn Westbrook and Ella and Jay Royse; his brother, Robert J. Dunn and his wife Nancy of Billerica; his sister, Patricia Burke and her late husband George of Wilmington.
Mike was the brother of the late Beverly DeAngelo and her late husband James of Cambridge.
He leaves many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday, May 18, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
