Albert P. Modugno, age 71, of Tewksbury formerly of Medford and Woburn, passed away peacefully May 13th, at the Wilmington Health care Center following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Mary F. (Poto) and together they shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Medford he was the son of the late Umberto J. and Bridget (Menna) Modugno.

Albert was raised and educated in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. Following high school he began his long career in the glass industry. Albert was the President and a former owner of the Mass Glass Company of Greater Boston for over 50 years. In his free time he enjoyed boating, fishing, and traveling. He especially enjoyed trips to the Caribbean with St. Martin being one of his more favorite destinations. He loved spending time on the beach and he also enjoyed the action and excitement of the casino. However, nothing gave him more joy than being with his family. He cherished his children and grandchildren and was always present at any of their school and sporting events. He was their number one fan and so proud of their accomplishments. Albert was a very talented cook and could always be found in the kitchen preparing delicious meals for the whole family to enjoy during the holidays or any other family get together.

Along with his beloved wife, Mary. Albert is survived by his children, Albert P. Modugno Jr. and his wife Kristine of Clinton, Tracy A. Gamble and her husband Robert of Pelham, NH. He was the loving grandfather of Christopher and Connor Gamble, Madison and A.J. Modugno. Uncle of Lisa and Greg Sullivan and their children, Charlene and Glenn of Wilmington.

A funeral mass will be celebrated, Saturday, May 23rd, in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers contributions in Albert's memory may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of MA, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114.
