Stephen M. Tipton of Sherborn,died May 12, 2015 at the age of 75. Husband of Sally Baldwin Tipton, father of Becca Tipton of Wayland, Nat Tipton of Jamaica Plain, and Debby Tipton of Tallahassee Florida, and grandfather of seven. After graduating from Gardner High School and Cornell University, Steve served 3 and a half years in the U.S. Navy. He was an English Teacher for 32 years at Brookline High School, where he was instrumental in developing a new interdisciplinary curriculum. He loved outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, raising apples, rhododendrons, and vegetables. He died peacefully after a 15 year battle with Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD).A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00A.M. at Pilgrim Church, 25 South Main Street, Sherborn.
