Obituary

Bobby L. “Bob” Patrick age 77 of Brockton, died Thursday May 14, 2015 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Gerda (Bailey) Patrick. Bobby was born in Ozark, Alabama and raised in St. Antonio, Texas, a son of the late Charles and Lola (Stone) Patrick. He had been a resident of Brockton since 1977.
In 1977, Bobby retired from the US Navy as a Petty Officer First Class after 20 years of service. Previously he had served three years in the US Army. Following his retirement, Bobby worked as a security guard for Honeywell and for many years as a driver for “On a Roll” food service in Brockton.
Bobby had been a member of the VFW, Paul Revere Masonic Lodge in Brockton and The Shriners in Boston. He enjoyed watching Alabama football and loved his pets and animals.
In addition to his wife, Bobby leaves three children, Tina Gritton of Florida, Bobby Patrick, Jr. of Virginia, Robin Patrick of Kentucky and two stepsons Andrew and John Bailey both of Middleboro. He also leaves a brother Jacky Patrick of Florida, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Monday 5-7 pm with a funeral service at 7 pm. Cremation will follow.
