Nora N. Duran, 80 of Ventura, passed away on Thursday morning May 14, 2015 after a sudden illness. Mrs. Duran was born May 2, 1935 in Jerome, Arizona and was a Ventura County resident for the past 78 years.
She attended Holy Cross School, was a homemaker, and a former grader for Saticoy Lemon Association for 10 years. She met her late husband, Daniel C. Duran, in Saticoy and he was a manager of Saticoy Lemon Association.
Nora enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid photograph collector of her children's and grandchildren's pictures which she displayed throughout the entire house.
Nora is survived by her son Daniel J. Duran, of Ventura; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Leticia Duran, of Oxnard; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Pat Perri, of Bakersfield; sisters Adeline Cortez, of Newbury Park, and Dora Betran, of Ventura; sister-in-law Tencha Ruiz, Ventura; grandchildren Clarissa, Matthew, Stevie, Luke, Nicolas, Daniel, and Brooke; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Monday May 18, 2015 from 3 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 6pm in the Funeral Home's Chapel. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at 10am in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 10800 Henderson Street Ventura, followed by Interment in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
