Acushnet - Doloris L. (Silvia) Mello-Santos, age 88 of Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2015. She was the widow of the late George C. Mello and the late Edward J. Santos. She was also predeceased by her dear companion Jack A. Wildanger.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Lena (Costa) Silvia formerly of Fall River. She graduated from Durfee High School. Doloris loved dancing and being with her many friends. She was a member of the Dartmouth Senior Citizens of Bliss Corner Club, and was retired from being a home Delivered Meals Coordinator for Coastline Elderly Services.
She was the sister of the late Francisco "Frank" Silvia.
Her survivors include her sister in law, Beatrice Silvia of Somerset, and many godchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and also great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at St Julie Billiart Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River. Visitation will be Monday morning in the funeral home from 8- 9:15 A.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
