Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, May 13, 2015, Mrs. E. Janet Cook, 80, loving and devoted wife to the late Maurice G. Cook.
Mrs. Cook was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook and could complete crossword puzzles and Sudoku puzzles with a pen. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and knitting. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Family members include her children: Carol Poston and husband Michael, Joseph Cook and wife Angie, Leslie Posey, and Jeffrey Cook; son-in-law: David Wilkerson; grandchildren: Chelsea Purks, Rene’ Lane, Audrey, Rebekah, and Joseph Posey, Emily and Jacob Wilkerson; great grandchildren: Raven, Hunter, Madison, and Baylee Lane; and sister: Betty Aldrich. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son: Maurice G. Cook, Jr.; daughter: April Wilkerson; sister: Shelba Fowler; and brother: Mart Fowler, Jr.
A memorial service will be Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Steve Rayner officiating.
