Obituary

TAYLOR, Elizabeth Mae (Colson) of Dedham, MA passed away peacefully at Milford Hospital on May 12, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late William L. Taylor and loving mother of the late William J. Taylor and his wife, Laurie Taylor, of Franklin. She was the daughter of the late Charles H. Colson and Cecilia M. Colson (Nelson) of Chelsea. She is the sister of the late Edwin Colson, of Long Island, and survived by her brother, Charles “Jack” Colson of Milton. She is survived by her 3 grandchildren: W. Justin & Katia Taylor of Walpole, Alisha & Dan Dynan of Walpole, and Melanie & Mike Sadowski of Dedham. She leaves behind 3 great grandchildren: Ryan & Isabel Taylor and Madelyn Dynan. She also leaves behind two nieces: Rosemary Colson of Hopkinton and Bobbe Smith of Berlin.

Elizabeth was born on February 22, 1923 and grew up in Chelsea, MA. She moved to Dedham in 1949; the home she and Bill built was her pride and joy. She worked at Norfolk & Dedham Group for 20 years and retired as a Senior Underwriter. She and Bill enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing and spending time with their family. She loved hosting family gatherings, crocheting, baking, rooting for the Red Sox, keeping up with the house, emailing and using her computer. She cared immensely about each member of her family—watching them grow and play and find happiness was her life’s greatest satisfaction. Her constant source of love and support is a gift she leaves behind. She was a strong, independent, proud, caring, and beautiful woman.
