Dick Lacharite
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, May 13, 2015, Mr. Richard Joseph Lacharite, 76, husband of 55 years to Jane Lacharite.
Mr. Lacharite was born in Lawrence, MA but lived in Augusta for many years. He served his country for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. Following his retirement from the Army he was a proud employee of Kimberly Clark where he worked for an additional 17 years. His passions were his family and wood working. Mr. Lacharite was a member of Palmetto Wood Turners and Savannah River Wood Turners.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Kathy Clinard and husband Brant, Dottie Browning and Lanette Lacharite; son: Rick Lacharite, Jr.; grandchildren: Brianna Browning and Brock Browning; sisters: Ann Kolifrath and Janet Belley; and brother: David Lacharite.
A funeral Mass will be Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Van Alstine celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.
