Doris M. (Bonamici) Catrambone age 94 of Brockton, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Joseph Manor. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph J. Catrambone for 70 years.
Doris was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Leon and Rose (Bonii) Bonamici and remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1937 graduate of Brockton High School, Doris had once been Personnel Manager at the former Gilchrist Department Store. She was also a title 1 aide for the Brockton School Department.
Doris was a diehard Democrat and had been a member of the City of Brockton Democratic Committee and the Plymouth County Democratic League.
Most importantly, Doris was devoted to her home and family and enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her grand pets. She was a Westgate Mall walker and enjoyed time with her family at her summer home in West Harwich.
She is survived by her two loving daughters Dolores Sullivan of Raynham and Paula Anderson of Whitman; two grandchildren, Mark Bissett and his wife Dawn and Tracy Anderson Briggs and her husband Kevin; 3 great grandchildren, Victoria Bissett, Collin Briggs and Cassidy Briggs. She was the sister of the late Nella Yundzilla and Delfo Bonamici. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte. 123), Brockton on Friday from 9:30-11:30 am followed by a funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 12 noon. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
