Worcester – Irene M. (Chamberland) Schollard, 86, of Worcester, died peacefully in her home on Monday, May 11th.
Irene is survived by her two daughters, Marguerite M. Savage of Worcester and Kathleen S. Vendola and her husband, Richard of Centerville, MA; a son, Sean J. Savage of South Bend, IN; three grandchildren, Victoria Vendola of Boston, Olivia Vendola of Centerville, MA and Patience Savage of Worcester and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Schollard was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph and Rosilda (Beaudet) Chamberland and is also predeceased by her first husband, John J. Savage who died in 1968; her second husband, Paul Schollard who died in 1976; a brother, Roland Chamberlain and three sisters, Jeanne Dixon, Rachel Kennedy and Madeline Etre.
Irene is a graduate of Saint Peter’s High School and was an active member of Our Lady of the Angels Church.
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 15th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 14th from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint John’s Church “Food for the Poor Program” 44 Temple Street Worcester, MA 01604.
