Obituary

Gilford-----Daniel Joseph Dignan IV, 51, of 345 Weirs Road, died at home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 11, 2015.

Daniel was born February 25, 1964 in Somerville, Mass., the son of Daniel Dignan III and Mary Ann (Tardif) Ryan.

Daniel worked as a pipe fitter for the Local 131 Pipe Fitters Union. He served in the United States Coast Guard. Daniel was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876 and American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post 1.

Survivors include his wife, Janice (Chapman) Dignan, of Gilford; two daughters, Mollie Dignan, of Gilford and Candace Knowlton, and her husband, Toby, of Laconia; three grandchildren, Jackson, Samuel and Elizabeth Knowlton, all of Laconia; his mother, Mary Ann Ryan, and her husband, Bill, of Alton; one sister, Karen Brosnahan, of Alton; one sister-in-law, Teri Ceriello, and her husband, Tony, of Epsom, a niece, Emily Brosnahan, of Alton; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Day, of Laconia. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel Dignan III.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 12:00 Noon, at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH.
