John H. Doughty, Jr. passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. He was 62. John was raised in Winchester and worked for many years at Polaroid Corp where he was a production manager. He later worked with HAPCO until his retirement. John lived in Scituate for much of his life and recently moved to Methuen. John enjoyed days at the beach in Scituate, fishing and having good times with family and friends in Maine at Parker Pond and spending time with and counselling young diabetics at Camp Joslin. He enjoyed bowling too, but was most happy with his children and family.


The beloved father of Sarah E. Calautti and her husband Robert of Salem, NH, John J. Doughty of Scituate and his girlfriend Bridget Trelease, Mollie C. Doughty and Michaela F. Doughty, both of Scituate, he was a loving grandfather to Cameron R. Calautti. The devoted son of Frances (O’Connell) of Billerica and the late John H. Doughty, he was a dear brother to Susan M. Smith of Billerica, Fr. Edward F. Doughty, Pastor of the Medford Catholic Collaborative, and Noelle M. Chaisson of Billerica. John also leaves many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 11th in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
