Jean M. (Muise) Chiasson, 76, of Hudson, MA, died on Thursday, May 7th surrounded by her loving family at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester, MA. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Alfred R. “Al” Chiasson of Hudson, MA.
Jean was born and raised in Waltham, MA, daughter of the late Charles L. and Mary S. (Doucet) Muise. She attended local schools and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Waltham. She moved to Hudson in 1961 where she took great pride in raising her family and caring for their home along with her husband Al. In 1984 Jean and Al moved to Vermont and spent many wonderful years there until most recently returning to Hudson in 2014. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
Jean had many hobbies but truly cherished baking her famous sugar cookies, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed writing letters to her family members who always looked forward to receiving them. She was an avid sports fan and always looked forward to rooting for her Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox teams to success. Most of all she looked forward to spending time with her family, especially later with her 11 loving grandchildren. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her children, Al Chiasson of Florida, Dan Chiasson and his wife Amy of Marlboro, Paul Chiasson and his wife Beth of Vermont, Claudine McManus and her husband Gerard of Hudson and Gayle Ripley and her husband Chuck of Marlboro. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Chiasson in 2014. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Korodan of Michigan; her two brothers, Peter S. Muise of Maine, Larry Muise of Florida; her eleven loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
