Gloria (Souza) Cabral, age 84 of Fall River passed away May 7, 2015. She was the wife of the late Arthur Cabral and daughter of the late Manuel Souza and Irene (Terceira) Furtado. Gloria was a lifelong resident of Fall River and had worked in the local garment industry. She was a parishioner of the former St. Louis Church, a member of the St. Louis and St. Mary’s Women’s Guild, a member of the Franciscan Secular Order and a volunteer for the Citizens for Citizens Forster Grandparent Program.
Gloria was the mother of Diane Gouveia (husband Robert) of Fall River, Deborah Pereira (husband Joseph) of Westport, Dale Berry of Fall River and Donna Lilly (husband Howard) of Pennington, NJ. She was the sister of James Souza (wife Arlene) of Marietta, GA and Judith Small (husband Mark) of Somerset. She leaves 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Cathedral at 9 A.M. Following cremation interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
