Obituary

Denis G. Regan, 84, of Whitman, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday May 6th. He was the husband of the late Irene (Nasson) Regan. He is survived by his daughter Caroline Whitney of Abington, grandson and his wife Daniel Whitney and Natalie Mang of FL, granddaughter and her husband Catherine and Jason Smith of Holbrook, his brothers and their wives Con and Jean Regan of Brockton, Michael and Doris Regan of Ireland, his brother-in-laws Edward and his wife Andrea Nasson of Dedham and Ronald and his wife Iris Nasson. He was also the father of the late David J. Regan and the brother of the late Timothy and John Regan, Theresa, Briget, Mary and Kathleen.

Denis was born in Drinagh, Country Cork, Ireland, son of the late John and Mary (Driscoll) Regan.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war from 1952-1954 and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the K of C in Whitman.


He has been a longtime resident of Whitman, a communicate of the Holy Ghost Church. Denis was an Attorney at Law in Whitman for many years. He went to college at Boston College, Boston College Law School and taught law at Northeastern University.

His funeral services will be held on Monday May11th at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St ( Rt 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 10th from 4:00-8:00PM.
