Mr. Donald Leo Sullivan, a resident of Somerville, since 1995, passed away at the Watertown Health Care Center in Watertown on Tuesday morning, May 5, 2015. He was 61 years old.
Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on April 26, 1954, he grew up in Medford and was the beloved son of the late Paul F. and Dorothy A. (Powers) Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was a very hard working Roofer for many years.He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. building model airplanes and all sorts of antiques. He also had a special love for animals and was a Born Again Christian. Above all, Donald was a very devoted family person, especially to his many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all.
Donald is survived by his loving siblings; Maryellen and her husband Ernie Caramanis of Salem, New Hampshire, Sharon and her husband Michael Phelan of Burlington, Paul Sullivan and his partner Patty Simmons of Medford and Elizabeth Luz of Arlington and Irene Sullivan of Arlington and her fiance George Young of Wakefield, nieces and nephews; Antonio Matos of Boerne, Texas, Michelle Sullivan of Auburndale and Joseph Farina, Paul Farina, Bobby Luz and Keriann Farina, all of Arlington, great-niece and great-nephews; Mason, Marisa and Marcus Matos, all of Boerne, Texas and many cousins.
A prayer service will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 4 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will follow service from 4:30 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held.
