Anna Teresa (Settemio) Miller, 95, passed away Monday night May 4, 2015 peacefully in her sleep.
Daughter of the late Nicola and Teresa Settemio of Malden. Anna was a long time resident of Malden, eventually residing in Topsfield with her daughter. Anna was well known for her talented baking abilities and wonderful cooking which she took much pride in. She liked trips to the beach, especially enjoying "people watching" in the summer time. She loved singing to music especially Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra. Anna could often be found animatedly sharing stories from her past.
She was the loving wife of the late John Miller of Malden and mother of the late John Miller of Maine. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Berti of Topsfield and her husband James; her grandchildren Rene, Nicole and James Berti, Christina St Cyr and John Miller; great grandchildren Brianna Silva, Aleigha St Cyr and Kirsten Miller. Anna was the beloved sister of Joe Settemio of Malden; she was also predeceased by her siblings Marie Ciardi, Al Ciardi, Phyllis Rufo, Celia Picardi, Louise Walters, and Dominic Settemio. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Anna had a special way of touching the lives of those whom she came into contact with. Her Funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home , 865 Main St., Malden on Saturday May 9th at 9AM followed by a funeral Mass in the Sacred Hearts Church,297 Main St., Malden at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8PM. Interment Forestdale Cemetery, Malden.
