MacEWEN, Joan (Mitiguy) Of Needham, April 30, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Robert A. MacEwen for 31 years. Loving mother of Lisa Harkins Tran of Needham, Deborah H. Anastas and her husband Paul of Needham, Elizabeth H. Dorisca and her husband Calixte of Medfield, Steven W. MacEwen of Framingham, Sherry L. Boulanger and her husband John of Canton, Beth L. Carloni of Wrentham. Grandmother of Timothy and Allison Anastas and Christopher Tran. Also survived by 9 step-grandchildren. Sister of James Mitiguy of Marblehead, Robert Mitiguy of Honolulu, HI and the late Jack Mitiguy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joan was a graduate of Tufts University, former owner of Needham Realty, avid golfer and member of the Needham Golf Club and the Wellesley Country Club, and also an avid figure skater and instructor.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Wednesday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew Church, Needham, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
