Michael A. Bellofatto, age 84, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Michael was the husband of 58 years of the late Alice M. (Butler) Bellofatto and is survived by his children, Joanne Bellofatto of West Roxbury, Mick Bellofatto of Weymouth, James Bellofatto and his wife Brenda of Braintree and Matthew P. Bellofatto and his wife Christine of Norwell, his grandchildren, Della, Cleo, James and his wife Lauren, Elizabeth and Mia and his great grandson, Mark. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Angela (Ferrari) Bellofatto.
Michael was born in Newton, grew up in Back Bay and lived in Weymouth for the last 43 years. He was the Owner and Operator of the Blue Sands Café and the Barrister Pub in Boston for over 30 years.
Mike served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
The Funeral will be from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday, May 4 at 9 AM followed by the Funeral Service at the Forsyth Chapel, in Forest Hills Cemetery located at 95 Forest Hills Ave., Boston at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 2-6 PM.
