Marjorie R. (Sica) Guarino passed away on April 29, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old.
Marjorie was born and raised in Malden and a longtime resident of Melrose. She was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at Saint Mary’s Church in Melrose, and also a member of Saint Mary’s Sodality. Marjorie was an avid Red Sox fan and loved going away with her sisters to Atlantic City and Foxwoods She loved nothing more than having her family and grandchildren around her, and especially traveling to Florida and New Hampshire with them.
Marjorie was the devoted wife of 53 years to John Guarino. She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Alice (Ciccotelli) Sica. Marjorie was the beloved mother of Maria Couture, Gina Liston and her husband Bob, Michael Guarino and his wife Debbie, Lori-Ann Guarino, Joseph Guarino and his wife Tracey, Kristen Guarino, Tina Murray, and the late David Guarino. She was the dear sister of Marie Micale, Lorraine Rosette, and Doris Burns. Marjorie was the cherished grandmother of Nicole, Michael, Alyse, Michelle, Andrea, Paul, Jenna, Jason, Olivia, Gabriella, Juliana, Emma, Joseph, and Patrick. She was the great grandmother of Brooklyn, Ava, Isabella, and Sofia. Marjorie was the loving godmother of Linda Filaretos. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday May 4th at 9:30a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Mary’s Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:30a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday May 3rd from 3-7p.m. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
