Ralph J. DeLuca
4/27/2015

Ralph J. DeLuca, age 90. A lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington on April 27, 2015 following lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Margaret B. "Margie" (Russo) together sharing over 66 years of marriage. Ralph was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Buscemi) DeLuca.

Ralph's family owned and operated the DeLuca Family Farm on Washington Street in Woburn for many years. Ralph worked along side his parents and siblings since he was young boy on the farm growing vegetables for the local markets. When the family farm was sold he began working as a truck driver for the Independent Tallow Co. of Woburn where he was employed for over 20 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Teamsters Union local 25. Ralph enjoyed gardening at his home, and as you would expect he was quite talented from all his experience with growing up on a farm. He loved to share all the fruits and vegetables with family and friends. Family was everything to Ralph and his happiest times was when the family would be together for holidays and special occasions. Ralph was always there for his family and friends willing to lend a hand with any project or task that had to be done. For many years he also enjoyed bowling and participated in the Friday Night Men’s League in Woburn. Ralph's family would like to acknowledge the many kind members of the DaVita Woburn Dialysis who provide great care and friendship to Ralph during his illness.

In addition to his beloved wife Margie, Ralph is survived by his devoted children Kathleen "Kathy" Wahl and her husband Roy of Tewksbury, Joseph DeLuca and his wife Jan of Wilmington. He was the loving grandfather of Jeffrey Wahl and wife Kristin, Brian Wahl and wife Kiki, Mark Wahl and girlfriend Liz, Kristen Wybieralla and husband Michael. Step grandfather of Vicki Fitzgerald and Steven Shepard. Loving great grandfather of Juliana, Caitlyn, Olivia and Alexander. Step great grandfather of Sabrina Fitzgerald. Brother of Phyllis Pastore of RI, Clara LeFave of Peabody, John DeLuca and Rosanne Hogan both of Medford, and the late Joseph DeLuca. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
