J. Roger Sanderson passed away on Thursday April 23, 2015 at his home in Canton, MA. He was 84. Roger was born and raised in Everett, attended Everett High School and Bentley College. Though Everett was his primary residence, Roger loved his second home in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, where he spent summers with his wife Eunice, family and friends. In addition to his service in the United States Army Fort Polk, he had a successful career in the food service industry, working many years for Market Forge in Everett and later Eastern Steel Rack and Servo Lift in Dorchester as VP of Sales and Marketing. Roger was civically active in Everett as a member of Kiwanis, as Everett Fire Commissioner, and as Trustee of the Everett Eagle Bank. Roger is survived by his wife Eunice (MacAskill), son Roger Wayne Sanderson and daughter in law Paula of Canton. Also survived by his sister BettyLou Ledig of Wakefield and family, brother Ronald Sanderson of Burlington and family, his grandchildren Brett McCloud and Sarah Breare, and great granddaughter Evelyn McCloud. A memorial service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held at the Needham Presbyterian Church, 1458 Great Plain Ave., Needham, May 16th at 11 am. Burial will be private. | |||||
