Januario Silva, age 88 of FL and formerly of Somerset, MA, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Oliveira) Silva and the son of the late Henrique and Maria dos Anjos (Januario) Silva. Prior to retiring, Januario worked as a Laborer Foreman for E. Turgeon Construction Co. He was a US Navy veteran of WW II and had been a parishioner of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church, now St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea.
Mr. Silva was the father of the late Januario Silva Jr. and the late Susan Bevier. He is survived by his sister: Mary Garrett of Fall River; grandchildren: Lori Ann Finelli, Jamie Williams, & Jason Godber; great grandchildren: Donald Williams III, Vincent Finelli, & Kaitlyn Williams & Ariella Godber ; many nieces& nephews. He was the brother of the late Olive, Eva, Emily, and Edward.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea at 9:00 A.M.
