Obituary

Mr. Ivanhoe L. Tremblay, 71, of Methuen, died April 24th at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Born in St. Rose Canada, Mr. Tremblay had been an area resident for the past 49 years. Before moving to the United States, he served in The Royal 22nd Regiment of the Canadian Army. A carpenter by trade, he retired from Crown Cork and Seal Co. Mr. Tremblay was a member and past trustee of the Social Naturalization Club (The French Social), the Lawrence BPOE (Elks) Lodge 65, he was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Mr. Tremblay is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Rose-Helene (Demers) Tremblay of Methuen, two daughters; Shirley G. Binette and her Fiancé David Rousseau of Derry, NH.and Cindy LaRocque of Prescott Valley, AZ, One son; Ivan Larocque and his wife Lucinda of Bull Head City, AZ. Three sisters; Marguerite Guenette of Ashland, ME, Lise Bouchard of Quebec City, Canada and Elizabeth Robinson of Portage, ME. Two brothers; Jean-Yves Tremblay and his wife Cecile of Quebec City, Canada and Bertho Tremblay and his wife Louiselle of Laval, Canada. There are 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Road, (Rte 113) in Dracut, MA.
