James H. Carreau 1945 - 2015
WORCESTER – James H. Carreau of Worcester died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in his home from A.L.S. He is survived by his wife Alice C. (Elliott) Carreau of Worcester; two children, James M. Carreau and his wife Susan of Worcester, and Michelle R. Carreau of Worcester; four grandchildren, Seth, Michael, Ryan, and Jake; one step-grandson, Steven; three sisters, Suzanne McKeon and her husband James of Rutland, Sylvia Squires and her husband Victor of Whitinsville, and Michelle Kazanovicz of Rutland; two sisters-in-law, Gloria MacKoul and her husband John of Worcester, and Carol Elliott of Worcester; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, C. Janice LaCava who died in 1994. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Henry C. and Cecile R. (Letourneau) Carreau, and was raised, educated, and lived his entire life in Worcester.
James worked for the Worcester Bus Co. and The Worcester Regional Transit Authority, for more than 30 years, retiring in 1999 as an engine and transmission specialist. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Worcester.
The family of Mr. Carreau would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in his care over the last few months.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the A.L.S.
