Worcester: Janice M. (Anderson) Trongone, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in St. Mary's Health Care Center. She leaves 4 children and their spouses- Lisa and Christopher Swift of Spencer, Wendy and Paul Hartmann of Danvers, Brian and Kathy Parse of SC, and Jill and Keith Hanson of FL; 5 grandchildren- Michael, Kyle, Justine, Reed, and Emily; 3 great-grandchildren- Ryan, Nathan, and Ryleigh; a brother John "Chuck" Anderson Jr. and his wife Kathy of CA; a sister Mary Louise Marino of North Andover; uncle and aunt Al and Ethel Drumstas; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Beth Ann Parse.
Janice was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John and Rosamond (Dufault) Anderson. She graduated from St. Peter/Marion High School and worked as a switchboard operator at EMC and as a manicurist. She was a member of St. John's Church, enjoyed crocheting, singing and dancing and watching comedy shows. The family would like to thank the staff on the 3rd floor of St. Mary's Health Care Center, Cindy Berry - her Home Health Care Nurse, and the staff of Notre Dame Hospice for their compassionate care of Janice.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 26 from 5-8 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 27 at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church 40 Temple St. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janice's memory may be made to St. Mary's Health Care Center, 39 Queen St., Worcester, MA 01610.
