Obituary

Vasiliki (Mantalvanos) Mikelatos, 86, of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 21st in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family at her side. Her husband of 56 years, Nikolaos D. Mikelatos died in 2004. She is survived by her three daughters, Rubina Kyriakidis of Worcester, Nicki White and her husband, John of Deerfield Beach, FL and Liberty Sacino and her husband, Mark of Lighthouse Point, FL; three brothers, Dionysios Mantalvanos and his wife, Joyce, Vasilios Mantalvanos and his wife, Ioanna all of Worcester and Alexandros Mantalvanos and his wife, Maria of San Francisco; four sisters, Revecca Gianakis of Worcester, Anna Zoogopoulos of St. Petersburg, FL, Margarita Lykopoulos and her husband, George of Holiday, FL and Maria Maratos of Lehena, Greece; three grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Sacino and Nicole White and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Anninata, Kefallonia, Greece the daughter of Nikolaos and Stavroula (Theotokatos) Mantalvanos. Mrs. Mikelatos had worked for Parker Manufacturing before retiring. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and it’s Ladies Philoptochos Society. Vasiliki will be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
Her funeral is Saturday, April 25th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are from 9:00 until 10:30 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
